Shannon Little

I grew up outside of Phoenix, Arizona, and was lucky enough to attend middle school and high school in the golden age of music- the years of No Doubt, Mariah Carey, TLC, and Britney Spears. Music is something that has always made me happy and creating fun playlists for my classes is one of my favorite parts of teaching yoga. 

Teaching seems to be a calling for me- I went to school for Secondary Education and teach 7th grade English. I like to think of the yoga studio as a different type of classroom, creating practices that encourage my yoga students to practice and play in their poses in a safe and encouraging environment. 

When I am not in the classroom or the studio, I am home with my amazing husband, Nathan. We have two wonderful girls, Emerson and Sailor (not to mention the cutest dog in the entire world, Tatum, and a psychotic cat named Ariel). We love to spend our time outside exploring hiking trails in Northwest Arkansas or hanging out at our cabin on Beaver Lake. 

I completed my RYT 200 in 2018 under the tutelage of Lindsey Argo. I was originally drawn to yoga as a way to treat endometriosis and other chronic pain. It also helped me through the cold, gray winters in Arkansas which were an adjustment after growing up in the Valley of the Sun. I have continued to practice yoga because I really love the mind and body connection that I am able to experience. 

My yoga classes are a mix of music, movement, and meditation and I would love to join you in your practice (and maybe sing together to some 90s hip hop during my next class!).
