Hope Rowden
My first group fitness experience was Richard Simmons’ Sweatin’ to the Oldies with my 5 siblings in our living room in Hughes, AR, leotard and all! I loved doing those VHS workouts, playing sports, tumbling, riding bikes, and just staying active. My passion for fitness began early on and continues to increase as I grow, learn and experience more and more of the benefits of making health and wellness a priority.
After cheering in college, I decided to begin practicing yoga as a supplement to my strength and endurance training to help maintain flexibility and mobility. I quickly went from practicing 1 day a week to 2 days to 5 days a week. I couldn’t help but notice the positive impact yoga was having on my body and my mind; old injuries healing, thoughts and actions becoming more optimistic and intentional, decreased tension, and another thing I hadn’t put much thought into before yoga: increased breath control. These benefits were life changing for me, which led me to becoming an instructor in 2015 with the hope of passing this gift on to others.
Hope is a certified Yoga teacher through Yoga Medicine and Sage Yoga, Pilates instructor, personal trainer, and Registered Nurse.
